Cited by ChatGPT for the queries that matter.
Shipturtle had built one of the deepest multivendor marketplace platforms on Shopify — 1,000+ live marketplaces, 4.7+ stars across G2, Capterra, and the Shopify App Store. Founders building marketplaces in B2B, C2C, and rental verticals were buying. The product was working.
But when we ran AI visibility checks across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity for queries like “best Shopify multivendor app,” “how to build a Shopify marketplace,” and “Shopify vendor management” — Shipturtle wasn’t cited. Competitors with weaker products were.
AI search was already the first stop for marketplace founders evaluating tools, and Shipturtle was missing that conversation entirely.
Traditional SEO ranks pages. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) gets you cited in AI-generated answers. Different game, different rules.
We rebuilt Shipturtle’s content around AI-first principles: question-led structure, semantic HTML markup, comparison tables LLMs can parse cleanly, FAQ schema for direct answer extraction, and citation-friendly long-form guides written for inclusion (not pure ranking).
Every guide had a single job: be the answer an LLM cites when a marketplace founder asks the obvious question.
Founders started telling us ChatGPT recommended us. That had never happened before. Whatever Manav did with the content — keep doing it.
